COUPLES THERAPY

Working on a relationship that doesn’t feel good is not fun. You’re reading this, so you have a desire to heal, move forward, grow a deeper connection with your partner or better decide what you want. Whether from an affair, growing apart, or a new phase of life, things get strained and difficult when we are disconnected from the ones we love. There is a path forward. Together, you can heal and come out with tools and an even stronger relationship on the other side. I enjoy working with couples and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

MEN'S THERAPY

As men, we often receive messages that keep us from reaching out when we need help, looking inward or sharing with others. Understanding ourselves can help us to be better boyfriends, husbands and fathers. FEES & INSURANCE

FEES

The fee for a one-hour therapy session is $225 for individual, couple or family. Reduced fees are considered in certain situations. Payment for services is due at the time of each session. Fees can be paid by credit card or check. You would make payment to Chris Bateman.

INSURANCE

Therapy is a significant financial commitment as well as an investment. This being said, I want my client’s to be educated consumers and hopefully the following information will be helpful. I do not bill insurance for services. If you are wanting to use your insurance, you will need to determine your plan’s coverage and would be responsible for your fee if insurance denies your claim. Many PPO plans cover therapist’s as out-of-network providers. There are also plans that are unrestricted that cover any therapist you choose. Other plans such as an HMO do not often cover therapy out of their network.

Here are a few steps to take to help you determine what might be best for you:

  • Call your insurance provider and ask directly if they cover out-of-network therapy

  • Speak with your HR department or look in your benefits manual.

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER

  • Does my policy cover out-of-network providers?
  • What is the deductible for my policy?

  • How much does my insurance pay for outpatient mental health services?

  • How many visits am I allowed per calendar year?

  • What is the maximum amount per year I’m allowed for mental health services?

  • Can you send me a claim form and to what address should I send it?
